Featured Speaker
Steve Maly – Developing Strong Branding
Steve Maly gave the group a presentation on brand awareness. How to use data to understand your brand awareness. Steve mentioned that guidance for marketing was 4-5 touches before someone trusted your brand. That number has increased to 16-20. He also spoke about the costs of different medias for advertisements and how that has changed over the years. Whereas Facebook adds used to be very cost effective, the tides have turned and now can be more expensive than TV adds. Marketing is getting very granular to where you can narrow down to a very target market that finds individuals you are looking to market to. A good marketing strategy means using multiple channels of ad media that includes a combination of digital, print, radio, TV and direct mail. Steve suggests that 65% of advertising should be building the brand to build trust. Steve also gave tips and tricks towards specific channels of advertising that have worked well for his firm.
