Community Update: Captain Butler, LPD
Captain Butler gave the group an update on what’s happening for the Police department in North Lincoln. Captain Butler reminded the group to be careful around the potholes. Also as the weather gets better and thefts from vehicles go up. Please hide your valuables in your car out of site.
Featured Speaker
City Councilwoman Cindy Lamm
Councilwoman Lamm gave the group and update on the goings on with the City Council. Cindy mentioned that neither her nor Councilman Eskridge will be seeking reelection for City Council. Cindy is running for Mayor and Carl has taken a new position within the State. Cindy gave kudos to the North Lincoln Police department on project lifesaver. The big news in Lincoln right now are filling all the potholes. City crews are working hard to get them filled and the Mayor has declared a state of emergency to help free up workers to fill these potholes faster. In the City Council, Cindy is proposing a taskforce committee to strategize on snow removal. She is looking for 2 citizens from each area of town for their input. The City streets department is also down one pothole filling machine. Cindy updated the group on the North 33rd Improvement Project. Please continue to visit the project website. https://www.33rdcornhusker.com/ Cindy reminded the group to get out and vote in the up coming election and talked about some of the ballot items. Cindy then fielded questions about the new sales tax ballot initiative.
