$2,565.34 in Checking and $3000.00 in CDs as of October 12th, 2021.
Community Update
Assistant Chief Pat Borer – LFR
AC Borer gave the group an update about happenings in the Lincoln Fire and Rescue. AC Borer said Chief Engler could be our speaker in March. Medical emergencies calls have increased this year. The department applied for several grants to cover the cost of staffing and equipment last year. Unfortunately, none of the grants have come through. To combat a work force shortage, LFR is including training for new hires that was previously a prerequisite to employment.
Captain Anthony Butler – LPD
Captain Butler gave an update on the crime activity in north Lincoln. Football detail has gone well. The new Chief is evaluating procedural changes

Kyle Fischer – Realtors Association of Lincoln
Kyle gave the group an overview of what the Realtors Association does. Kyle provided the group with a handout with statics to the current market conditions. It been a tight market this year for home sales. The average price of building a new home in Lincoln is in the $350,000 range with an average of 42 days on the market. The average sales price of existing homes is $228,000 with an average of only 9 days on the market. Kyle spoke to some of the market differences between the Omaha metro area and the Lincoln area. Chief Borer spoke to some of the reason’s why Lincoln has a contiguous policy to it’s growth.
