September 14th – Husker Tailgate in the Journal Star parking lot 3PM – game time.
One tailgate spot open for a NLBA member to purchase for $200

Treasurer’s Report:
Board Treasurer, Tim Kirkpatrick provide the group an update on the group’s finances. $2007.50 in Checking; $3000.00 in CDs
Community Update – Captain Anthony Butler, LPD
Captain Butler gave the group some stats on activity in north Lincoln. Violent crimes are down slightly but auto theft is up significantly. Captain Butler descripted a few of the burglaries that are happening in north Lincoln that are believed to be perpetrated by the same person. LPD did their warrant detail at the end of August and had some success with that. Football detail is underway and Captain Butler reiterated the challenges with night games and early tailgaters.

City Council – Tammy Ward – Northwest District and James Michael Bowers of Northeast District
Tammy and James gave a little back ground on themselves. The council just went through their budget process. Tammy spoke a little bit the quarter cent sales tax increase to be used for roads and that public meetings are starting. Tammy and James discussed the scooters proposals that the City is looking at. A discussion was had between the group and our Council Members about the pro and concerns of these scooters. The planning commission approved a location for a new solar farm in Lincoln. James gave a quick update on the 33rd and Cornhusker Hwy project. The winter weather advisory that Council Woman Lamb started, will launch October 1st.
