MEETING MINUTES— 4.14.2016

                                                                                  

Location:                 Lincoln, Nebraska – The Pizza Ranch -84th & Lexington | 11:30am-1:00pm

Introductions/Member Announcements:

Other Discussion:

Pat with the Fire Department: Is looking for a Fire Chief. Hopefully at the end of April they will have a candidate.

Carl mentioned the Fire Department is looking for land around Superior, 86th and Leighton, 84th and Pioneers, 70th and HWY 2. 84th and Pioneers looks like it is the best area to build.

A brand new Fire Station across from Casey’s on NW 48th will be going up soon.

 

Member Spotlight- Barb Tyler with Independence Houses and Emerald Gardens

Barb Tyler spoke about her experience in Real Estate and Senior Housing. Emerald Gardens and Independence Houses is specialized housing, specifically in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. They have rebranded so they have new logos. No more than 18 beds in each home. Marcia Stork is the owner and they are on their 20th year here in Lincoln. Originally memory care facility in Lincoln. Bring in Home health care and hospice care. The Autumn House Foundation is hosting their 5th Annual Fundraiser Golf Tournament on Thursday, May 19 2016 at Woodland Hills Golf House.

Q: Use privatized Long Term Care insurance? A: Yes!

 

Social Chair Update:

Salt Dog’s Baseball Thursday July 21st. Game is at 6:35pm

Golf Tournament in August!

Winery Tour possibly on a Saturday. Please email Sherri Recker if you would like to participate in this.

Treasurer’s Report:

Checking account has $2,700.00

$3000 in CD’s

 

Police/Fire Update:

MACH: Mobile Architecture Communication and Handling. New program that started in Iowa 3 years ago allows State Patrol and Police department the ability to track where the officers are going and what they are doing. Officers are embracing this and seem to be very happy they have it.

Citizens Academy- Public Safety. Tim Kirkpatrick will be participating! We will have to see how that goes for him!

Air Show full scale exercise started 4/13/16! All systems go for May!

Red White Scrimmage- Detail in the bottoms on Saturday

Jeff Wimiester (Spelling) – New Chief! Needs to finish up some business at LSO but will be up and running soon!

How to track your marketing impact and results? Buying Decisions, Lifetime Value, Key to everything.

Tip: Jot down one or two goals- Not 10, when you attend seminars!

Also, instead of the B2C (Business to Consumer) and B2B (Business to Business) concept models. It should be H2H. Human to Human!

 

Buying Decisions:

91% of buying decisions take place online!

94% of spending takes place in a physical place!

91% of Discretionary income is spent within 5 miles of home!

Lifetime Value:

Ways to increase your profit revenue: Increase prices, find more clients or sell more to current clients.

Leverage: Pay a little bit up front to earn more money down the road!

Google Analytics: 91% of decisions start online… Google Analytics can help you to Start Tracking Online, Website traffic and Offline Traffic and Patterns.

You can see the traction in the physical world; Billboards, newspaper ads, advertising, etc.

Google Analytics is free! It can break down overall demographics for you. It can also check if people viewing your site is coming from a Mobile device or a Desktop. Track what people are actually doing on your website. It can segment out your audience.

Q: Any extra charges? A: Nope! It is all free!

Q: How does Google know demographics? A: Google is very good at tracking search history to make a determination of age and sex.
