2024 Board Slate – The board presented the NLBA members present with the 2024 Board Slate to vote in. The members present voted unanimously to approve the 2024 Board Slate.

Michelle L. Owens, JD CLU ChFC CEBS CAMS
Michelle gave our members a presentation about how to minimize taxable income in retirement. Right now, Americans are in one of the lowest tax environments in our history. She explained that different income streams are taxed differently. Whether the income comes from an IRA, 401k, life insurance distribution or social security the rates of taxation vary. Medicare cost can also be affected by a person’s reportable income. Michelle gave the group different scenarios of retirement income and how each could be taxed.
