Captain Butler spoke on the unmarked cop car falsely pulling over people. He said that unmarked vehicles don’t actually make traffic stops, if they do, they will usually have another marked car show up within moments. Captain Butler suggested that if this happens to you, you should pull over somewhere like a mall where there are lots of people around.
ANNUAL MEETING
We are looking to grow our numbers, in order to do this we need everybody’s help with bringing in new members.
Another area of concern is the underrepresented businesses on the North side of town. Some of these include, Education, Grocery, IT, Manufacturing, Restaurants, Auto Sales and Retail.
Additional suggestions included vineyards/breweries and exterminators.
Cards will be left on the table every month that can be given to potential members/guests.
A contest will take place from March-May where the winner will receive a prize for bringing in the most new members!
Now remember, you can have two people representing a business. You would only need to pay $85 for both.
The new website is a great place to pay Social Fees and Annual dues. It will also have the updated minutes and upcoming social events!
Joanne walked us through the new website; what NLBA is, membership information, applications, the value of joining NLBA, cost to join and advertising opportunities for members.
The Board will also begin doing member visits. The purpose of this is to personally thank all the members of NLBA and get an opportunity to learn more about them and their company.
The Board will also help make follow up calls for members that have some great ideas for potential businesses/members but just not enough time to reach out.
The best networking opportunities happen at the social events! So come out and have a good time and network!
