Board Updates – We have two new board members, Brian Deighton and Patrick Lawler who will be replacing Jake Spotanski and Alex Ruxlow.
Current Board President Emily Koopmann presented former President Sydney Stanard with a trophy commemorating her service as Board President.

$3242.83 in Checking and $3000.00 in CDs as of June 1st, 2021.
Community Update
Captain Anthony Butler – LPD
Captain Butler gave an update on the crime activity in north Lincoln. Not surprisingly, crime statistics are down for the year due to most people having to stay home for so long. Now that restrictions are being relaxed, the LPD is preparing for an increase in thefts and crime in general. The police chief search is narrowed down to 4 candidates.

Jill Gifford – National Food Entrepreneur Program Manager – UNL Food Processing Center
There are 15 food scientists in the food center. There are 8 different services as part of the Processing Center. Jill gave out a folder with informational slicks on each area of service. The National Food Entrepreneur Program helps those wanting to start a food business understand all the complexities of starting a food business. Approximately half of their clientele come from outside Nebraska.
